Exterior Style and Performance

The Palisade resembles the Sante Fe XL, only it's slightly bigger with bolder styling for Danville drivers. The grille is bigger and it has a tall hood. Powering the all-new Hyundai Palisade is a 3.8L V6 engine with an output of 291 horsepower. Paired with the engine is an 8-speed automatic transmission. While all-wheel drive is available for the Palisade, it comes standard with front-wheel drive. The new Palisade serves as a direct competitor to the Ford Explorer, Toyota Highlander, Nissan Pathfinder, Kia Sorento, and others.

Drivers in Harrodsburg will appreciate the 2020 Palisade's AWD system, which has three modes the driver can use: Normal, Smart, and Sport. Using the Sport setting pushes greater power to the back wheels and give it a more dynamic feel. The Snow feature helps enhance traction in unfavorable weather conditions. Snow mode adjusts the engine's power along with the transmission shift patterns to improve traction on the streets of Versailles.

Hyundai's vision for the Palisade was the creation of a premium SUV with bold design and road presence. The exterior of Palisade features a long hood, a large grille, and flared fenders. The new Hyundai model's vertical LED taillamps offer extra flair. The Palisade has three more inches in length than the popular Santa Fe XL and it's comparable in size to Honda's Pilot.

Interior Amenities Available for the New Palisade

For the interior, the Palisade can comfortably seat as many as eight for your adventures in Lawrenceburg and beyond. The convenient third row features powered seats that fold, unfold, and recline. There's a seven-seat layout using second-row captain's chairs that have ventilated surface seating. There's also available quilted Nappa leather seating for a more upscale appearance. The new Palisade also offers great space and flexibility. It can hold up to 18 cubic feet of cargo with all three rows of seats in use. With the rear two rows of seats folded, you can get up to 46 cubic feet of space.

The infotainment center offers a 10.3-inch touch-screen. That's exciting news for Hyundai fans who know their systems to be among the most user-friendly on the market. Full-color head-up displays are available that provide useful data on audio, cruise control, navigation, speed, and speed limits in easy view on the windshield. There's also an intercom system in Palisade. The system lets the driver communicate with the second and third-row passengers using the audio system. It's usually a feature seen in minivans but used here for Palisade. With Rear Sleep Mode, the driver can listen to music without the sound coming from the speakers in the rear rows.

The all-new Palisade also features USB ports in all three rows for a total of seven ports. There's a large storage space under the center console. There are also 16 cup holders, so everyone can stay refreshed and hydrated on their commutes and road trips around Bardstown.

Discover Driver-Assist Technologies

The Palisade features several advanced safety features that come standard. There's automatic emergency braking that detects pedestrians. There's also blind spot warning, forward collision warning, and a rear cross traffic warning system that includes automatic braking. Hyundai's Safe Exit Assist uses radar to spot cars approaching from behind and will keep the doors from opening until the car has moved on.

There are also helpful driver-assistance tools that come standard with Palisade, like cruise control that adapts with the ability to help navigate stop-and-start traffic along with automatic high beams. There's also an available alert system for rear passengers that's intended to keep children and pets from being accidentally left in the car.
